This week students have been working on cards for Dad or for someone else who is special to them.
We started last week, by creating flick paintings, using our puck paints and water to create a spray effect on the children’s’ paper.
Students were exploring the element of design known as space, creating positive and negative space on their pictures by placing butterflies on the page to create an empty area on their painting.
We got the idea for the flick painting while reading The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle. Next students followed a procedure at the writing-table to create the rest of their cards. We hope you enjoy them.
Happy Father’s Day to all of the Dad’s and family members out their who are celebrating with their families. We honour your hard work and commitment to your children.
