Last week, our public librarian, Ryan, returned to Tumpane to visit students in the afternoon Kindergarten class. This time, Ms. Kamin’s friends joined us for some stories, chants and a visit from Chester, the mascot of Downsview Public Library.
Ryan reminded us of the many free programs offered through the Public Library. All you need to do to participate is get a library card, which is free for everyone in Toronto.
With summer fast approaching, you may be wondering about how to visit the many sites in Toronto on a budget. Various Toronto Public Library branches offer what is called a “Map Pass.” This allows families to attend various attractions in the city for free. The pass is for two adults and a number of children and is for such places as the museums and art galleries in Toronto. Check out this offer on the Toronto Public Library website or inquire at your local branch.
