At our creative table this week students, students tried their hand at sewing, using dull needs, wool and styrofoam plates to create designs. In our art work, we saw many letters, shapes, lines and images.
Here is some of our work.
When someone asked, “What is art?” we discussed what we thought”art” could be, what was used to make it and the fact that art might look different to different people.
Later we looked at a book called, Seen Art? by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, in which the main character travels to the art museum and looks at all kinds of modern art pieces such as sculptures, paintings, photographs and installations.
After thinking about our work we wrote sentences about what we saw on the plates.
